This is the hardest I think. I actively try to avoid television, for whatever reason that anti TV thing that my father had going our whole childhood has lead to a serious bias in my adulthood.
Also, I have not fully recovered from the heartbreak that came with losing RUBICON the way I did.
So, here is a list.
1. Hell of Wheels. The performances of Anson Mount, Common, and the guy who plays THE SWEDE are so good. You add in Lilly as a charecter, and the open plains, I totally dig it.
2. Person of Interest. Jim Caviezel and Mike Emerson are both great. I think that the show has just enough tosses and turns to keep me tuned in. But, like everything else on CBS, you just wonder how long it will be around for.
3. Homeland. This should is really top notch. Claire Danes finally is something I dig. Finally. And Mandy Patinkin is stellar.
4. No Reservations. For whatever reason Bourdain knows how to balance the cynical side of himself, and not become a complete asshole. He has been everywhere already, so now the adventure is to show us something cool. And he really does.
5. Ridiclousness. I dig Rob Dyrdek, and his found video show is just funny enough to make me laugh till I cry.
6. The Big Bang Theory. I just say Bazinga.
7. Anything Jon Stewart does.
8. Combat Hospital. Again, cancelled after 1 year
I think that is really it for now. I mean I dug Rookie Blue, but that might just digging Missy Perygym.
I know there are things that I did not care for, like CONAN. It took me 1 week of shows I just decided I could not bear to watch it.
In contrast, I like Fallon a lot. Mainly because he is aware of the joke, and allows it to happen TO him, and then stands there. Where the big red headed asshole has to make some stupid noise, or something to shift the focus back to him as an actor in the process. Fallon is a lot better at standing in the comedy pocket.
